What a great time we had last year when Ratatat Theatre performed John Godber’s wonderful comedy “September In The Rain”. It was a ‘laugh a minute’ as we accompanied Jack and Liz on their holiday in Blackpool. On Saturday, June 21st they will perform “Happy Jack”. It’s a kind of sequel to the previous play, but you really don’t need any knowledge of the previous piece to enjoy it. It is built on small, lovingly detailed extracts from the life of Jack and Liz, a funny, bickering couple, as they weave a hilarious path through their long life together, from their early courtship days through to retirement. It is a neat, joyous and celebratory play that should not to be missed.
